LOVE...

Let me be completely honest for a minute.

I'm in a spiral, and when everything is falling apart the only ones who can make it fall back together are the ones who shouldn't because in the end they are the ones that are gonna hurt me.

HOWEVER! maybe they hurt me because by some subconscious will i make them, i let them. I know what is going to happen but i walk right into it because for a moment, but only for a moment i am safe and warm. Until i'm just discarded, no better than a piece of trash.

It started out by organizing my high school writing notebook. I wanted it to be neat and i wanted to add in all my writings from this year just in case i ever needed them again. and while going through all my papers i found one i wrote my sophomore year about a memory from the previous summer. the paper was entitled "Mechanical Whale Ride" and that's exactly what the paper is about. The summer before I entered sophomore year I spent a weekend with my two best friends in Newport Beach on Balboa Island. It was one of the greatest weekends of my life, undoubtedly and I don't think I will ever forget it. And while organizing my binder I was sitting on the floor of my bedroom thinking about that weekend trip and how much i've changed since then.

I know it was four years ago since that fateful night where I rode a mechanical whale made for a child wearing shorts over pants and being laughed at by strangers but I can't help but wonder...from that point to now where did i change. Was there one certain spot or was it so gradual i didn't even notice until i looked back to examine my life. I bet it was the later but its funny because i noticed everyone else change around me and i never even noticed it in myself...

First of all, back then i would NEVER have thought to drink or smoke. I might have been more okay with drinking but i know that i would never ever wanted to smoke, pot or cigarettes. I thought smoking was the grossest thing ever and I wanted no part in it. I didn't want to do it and to be honest i looked down at people who did do it. Now I drink, and smoke on occasion, and although i still don't really like smoking i can really say much. I do still think its disgusting but sometimes its just something to do. I don't think its as bad, and it is in no way a problem, i'm not addicted so don't worry. Also, smoking pot is way bad. it might actually keep me from getting the job i want just because i couldn't say no.

and saying no leads me to my second point. I've always had a problem with giving in, but its never been that big of a deal. now it is. People will ask me to do something, drink or smoke, and they don't even have to beg or ask twice for that matter, i just do it. even when i know i shouldn't. i really need to work on that. if only the cold shoulder and just saying no was as easy as they make it seem in D.A.R.E. haha.

Third, i'm still a prude. i try to be "looser" but it doesn't work. i have the same problems with boys as i have and that would be the fact that i like them and they don't like me. i've gotten father with a guy than before which i guess is good and bad. i also view virginity differently. its not such a big deal anymore. sex just seems to be sex and nothing else. i don't like it but thats reality ...now i'm not saying i'm just gonna give it up to anyone but i don't feel as constricted about it as i once did.

Fourth and lastly, i've made a lot of friends with people i never thought i'd be friends with. i stepped out of my judgemental little bubble and for that i could not be happier. people are amazing you just have to let them show you. i've met some of my closest friends by not judging them at first, or judging them and then turning out to be completely wrong. so what if they are pot smoking, drug doing, sex having, freaks? they love me and care about me and thats way more important. they don't try and make me like them, they appreciate me just the way i am and i wouldn't want to have it any other way. they are awesome.

So basically I love my life. It is the greatest thing EVER!!!! I'm soo glad it through high school and actually get to experience college, because i'm not gonna lie there are times when i honestly thought i wasn't going to make it. Not to mention moving to San Francisco was the greatest decision i EVER made. Here is my list of everything I want to say but don't want to type full sentences for.

Basically I love my life and I could NOT be happier. I love my friends and i've recently made new ones which is amazing. I've also forgot how much fun boys can be and I love the fact that i'm actually making good friends that aren't of the female persuasion.

There are certain events i want to happen but the one major thing i've learned is "prepare for everything, expect nothing" that way whatever happens happens and you life stays as amazing as it should be.

I'm in this journalism and mass media class at school and its my favorite class. Lately we've been looking at the government versus the media and i'm starting to get really upset with our government. There's just so much that our government doesn't let the media say.

So basically we are talking about the Bush Administration and all the lies are just so ridiculous.

There is this thing called "blow back" which is basically what 9/11 was but no one really knew that due to all the LIES!!!

The we got into the Iraq War because somehow the terrorist attacks went from Bin Laden to Hussein, someone explain that because there were NO weapons of mass destruction.

AHHHHH i can't even write about it it just gets me soo mad. The one thing that really pisses me off the most is that our government allows the dropping of bombs on innecent civilians. and more bombs were dropped on the first day of the Iraq War alone than were dropped during all of Veitnam War.

So basically there is a lot more but i really don't like our government. Not to mention the failing economy its created.

Basically I'm moving to Canada...Seriously.
I don't want to live in a country where incompetent and uninformed people elect even more incompetent leaders like George W. Bush.

i'm disappointed in myself lately. i've been reflecting on some things and i want to live with no regrets but i feel like i've become someone i'd never thought i'd be. i do things i never thought i would and its scary. and i know college is all about the experience but its also about getting an education and i'm afraid i'm gonna end up falling to the point where its all gonna be about experience and education is gonna fall second. i guess i just have to watch myself carefully and not fall through the cracks.

i wanted to pierce my lip. my parents said no. i'm pissed.

and now for my classes this semester:

psychology- well first of all its my largest class with 700 people. its in the theater of the creative arts building because its soo big. its really interesting and my teacher has a phd so its cooler and better than marx's class. i really like it and i'm pretty excited. i'm definately not looking forward to the research part however.

journalism and the mass media- by far my favorite class. its soo interesting to see how media is filtered, or not, and who decides what is put on the air. i really like it cause we talk about really interesting stuff and its just super interesting.

philosophy and relgion- its pretty interesting although i keep questioning my existence haha but i guess thats what philosophy is all about. we learning about the mind vs body which is super cool and i like it. philosophy is so weird and unique, i wish i could major in it but then i'd be living in a box so i voted against it.

fables and tales- to be honest i wasn't too sure on this class, and i'm still not 100% but its getting better and i like it a lot. we are reading really interesting stuff and examining it in a more in depth way than just "this is the lesson we learn from this fable" its a goodin'

finally there archaeology- WORST CLASS!!!! i could not for the life of me tell you what we are learning because i zone out and draw during the class. i'm still thinking of dropping but i kind of just want to get it out of the way. i'll try paying attention next time...maybe i'll get a little more out of it.

So its not even six thirty in the morning and i'm awake. i've been having trouble sleeping lately. maybe its because i'm up until about two to three in the morning every day so i'm used to not sleeping a lot. but i've noticed the earlier i get up the sooner i get hungry. haha. my roommates were out of town for the weekend and aren't coming back until a little bit later this morning so i have my music on and my tv on.

i haven't left my apartment in over 48 hours. i think thats a bad thing but hey what can you do. the worst part is that people came looking for me on friday when i legitimately didn't hear them knock, and sunday when i just didn't want to get out of bed to answer the door.

I didn't play halo yesterday so I think after i write this i'm gonna go take a shower then go play some. I have no idea what i did with my life without videogames and video chatting. honestly i was soo bored yesterday because there was no one to video chat with. This week is gonna suck, the two people I talk to the most are on the east coast. This week can be skip over wednesday, i don't wanna write an essay for my english final. i'll be home thursday morning though. back to work on friday....ewwww.

It's still dark outside. i went to bed at like 11 or maybe 12 i don't remember. and now i'm wide awake, for the most part. guess its shower and halo time. GOD I NEED A LIFE!
